IAUTN08S7N007ATMA1: How to Handle a 26-Week Supply Signal

Component Intelligence · 9 October 2026

By Feifei Deng · Reviewed 9 October 2026

The short answer: Infineon lists IAUTN08S7N007ATMA1 as an active, preferred automotive 80 V TOLL MOSFET. On 9 October, the linked Mouser UK page showed zero units in stock, 3,900 on order with an expected date of 15 October 2026, and a 26-week estimated factory lead time for quantities beyond those shown. Buyers should treat that as a regional supply signal—not confirmed global availability—and obtain written allocation, date-code, packaging and destination delivery terms before locking a build. Engineers should freeze the full ordering code and validate any alternate as a candidate, not as a drop-in replacement.

A distributor's “on order” quantity is useful planning evidence, but it is not the same as customer-allocated ATP.

What happened—and who is exposed

The procurement issue is not a product discontinuation. The Infineon product page identifies the device as a 2026 launch with active-and-preferred status. The risk comes from the supply picture around the exact orderable part: the Mouser UK exact-MPN page showed no immediately available stock, a backorder route, 3,900 units on order, an expected date of 15 October, and a 26-week estimated factory lead time.

That matters most to teams designing or ramping 48 V automotive subsystems—auxiliary motors, power distribution, chassis functions and battery-management hardware are among the applications Infineon names. It also matters to contract manufacturers working from an approved BOM that contains only the family shorthand. If the BOM says IAUTN08S7N007 but the purchase order, AVL and PCBA release do not preserve the ATMA1 suffix, the commercial record is not precise enough.

The immediate response is not panic buying. It is document control: separate the manufacturer lifecycle fact from the distributor availability snapshot, then convert the gaps into a written RFQ. A buyer needs destination-specific allocation and delivery evidence. An engineer needs the complete OPN, package and qualification boundary held constant through review.

What the exact OPN establishes

Infineon's page confirms an 80 V N-channel OptiMOS 7 device in the PG-HSOF-8 / TOLL package. It lists 0.64 mΩ maximum RDS(on) at 10 V, a −55 °C to +175 °C operating range, automotive qualification, and a 2,000-piece tape-and-reel packing size for IAUTN08S7N007ATMA1. The product page also describes extended qualification beyond AEC-Q101. These are manufacturer-published device and ordering facts; they do not establish the fit of the part in a particular assembly.

Freeze the complete ordering code, not only the family name, before RFQ and engineering release.

A candidate alternate therefore requires validation against more than headline voltage and resistance. At minimum, compare package outline and land pattern, pin assignment, gate charge and drive conditions, switching energy, safe-operating-area behavior, thermal impedance, avalanche or unclamped-inductive-switching requirements, short-circuit or transient demands, qualification evidence and the applicable change-control process. A similar 80 V TOLL MOSFET is a candidate; it is not an approved replacement unless the original manufacturer explicitly states equivalence or the responsible engineering authority completes the validation.

How to read the 0 / 3,900 / 26-week snapshot

Published field What it supports What it does not support
0 in stock No immediately available units on the observed UK page No claim about global or UAE inventory
3,900 on order A stated inbound quantity at that channel No guarantee that all units will arrive, pass allocation, or serve a specific customer
Expected 15 October 2026 A published expected date in the snapshot No committed ship date to the buyer's destination
26-week factory lead time An estimated production time for quantities beyond those shown No promise that a quoted order will ship in exactly 26 weeks

The same page displayed a GBP quantity ladder from single units through a full 2,000-piece reel. That is a same-page commercial snapshot, not evidence of a price decrease. There is no same-region, same-package, same-quantity historical baseline in today's evidence set, so neither stock improvement nor price movement can be claimed. An updated quotation should state currency, quantity break, packaging, taxes or tariffs where applicable, validity period and destination.

Infineon separately announced on 1 October that its Bangkok backend site had opened with assembly, test and wafer-test capability, around 350 employees, and a design that can scale to five modules. That is a real manufacturing-network event, but it does not identify IAUTN08S7N007ATMA1 as a Bangkok output and does not change today's ATP. Capacity strategy belongs in the long-range supplier-risk file; the exact-MPN channel evidence belongs in the current order decision.

What procurement and engineering should do now

  1. Send an exact-MPN RFQ. Quote IAUTN08S7N007ATMA1, target quantity, required date, destination, approved packaging and whether split deliveries are acceptable. Ask the supplier to distinguish allocated stock, inbound stock and new factory production.
  2. Request traceability in writing. Confirm manufacturer, authorized supply path, country of assembly where relevant, lot and date-code expectations, moisture handling, reel quantity and the records that will accompany shipment.
  3. Protect the build plan. Do not schedule a PCBA start against the public 3,900-unit figure alone. Use a supplier-confirmed ship date and quantity, then add receiving, inspection, transit and contingency time.
  4. Open a controlled candidate review. If schedule exposure is unacceptable, engineering may screen same-class candidates, but each candidate requires electrical, thermal, mechanical, qualification and manufacturing validation before an AVL or BOM change.
  5. Recheck at quotation time. Regional stock, prices and lead times can change without notice. Preserve the observation date and compare only like-for-like quotations.

A usable RFQ converts an interesting public signal into accountable commercial and engineering decisions.

If you need a destination-specific supply check, send the exact BOM line, target volume, delivery location and build window through our component sourcing contact page. Informic can return an updated quotation and coordinate PCBA or engineering review inputs without treating an unvalidated alternate as equivalent.

Facts, editorial judgment and recommendations

Verified facts: the manufacturer-published identity and specifications; the distributor-page stock, on-order, expected-date, lead-time and GBP fields observed for the exact MPN; and the dated Bangkok manufacturing announcement.

Editorial judgment: a zero-stock page plus inbound quantity and a long factory estimate creates schedule exposure worth escalating before a production commitment. This is a risk interpretation, not a forecast that the inbound date will slip.

Recommendations: request written allocation, preserve the full ordering code, obtain an updated destination-specific quotation, add realistic logistics margin, and validate every alternate candidate. These steps are decision controls; they are not manufacturer instructions or a guarantee of availability.

Observation boundary: this article does not aggregate inventory across regions, infer worldwide supply from the UK page, claim a stock or price trend, or connect the Bangkok facility to this exact MPN. Public channel fields remain subject to change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is IAUTN08S7N007ATMA1 discontinued?

No. The Infineon page reviewed on 9 October 2026 showed the product as active and preferred. The issue discussed here is a regional availability and lead-time signal, not an end-of-life notice.

Does 3,900 on order mean 3,900 units are available to buy?

No. It indicates an inbound quantity on the observed distributor page. Availability for a customer depends on arrival, allocation, order acceptance, destination and other commercial terms.

Can the expected 15 October date be used as a production promise?

No. Treat it as a published expected date. Obtain a written, customer-specific committed ship date before linking it to a build schedule.

Can another 80 V TOLL MOSFET replace this part?

Only as a candidate that requires validation. Voltage and package labels alone do not establish electrical, thermal, mechanical, qualification or manufacturing equivalence.

What should an updated quotation contain?

It should identify the full OPN, quantity, packaging, currency, price break, validity, allocated quantity, lead time or ship date, destination terms, traceability expectations and any non-cancellable or non-returnable conditions.
