Electronic Component Distributors in China: How to Choose a Sourcing Partner

To choose an electronic component distributor in China, first decide whether you need individual production parts, a complete BOM, development modules or an assembled board. These require different supplier capabilities. Compare the exact manufacturer part number, sourcing route, traceability evidence and written delivery terms before comparing headline prices.

This guide is published by Informic, which also accepts sourcing enquiries. It compares supplier roles using the official pages linked below; it is not an independent market-share ranking or an endorsement of every offered part. Company descriptions were reviewed on September 18, 2026. Confirm current stock, shipping eligibility and contractual terms directly for your order.

Component distribution and BOM sourcing options

LCSC. Its company profile describes a global electronic component distributor established in 2012. For a purchasing comparison, use the exact listed manufacturer and ordering code rather than a total catalogue count. Confirm packaging, available quantity and the delivery destination at quotation or checkout. A large catalogue does not prove that a specific line is available in the quantity your build needs.

Chip One Stop. The official company outline identifies a company established in 2001 with headquarters in Yokohama, Japan, and overseas entities in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Distinguish a company’s headquarters from its local sales entity. Confirm which entity will contract with you, the shipment origin and the documents supplied with the order.

WIN SOURCE. Its company profile describes worldwide component distribution and support for shortages and obsolete-component requirements. Its contact page lists locations including mainland China and Hong Kong. For a shortage purchase, ask what evidence is available for the specific offered lot; a company profile alone does not establish the provenance of that lot.

Informic. You can submit exact part numbers or a BOM through our BOM enquiry page. State the required quantities, delivery destination and whether alternatives may be proposed. Ask for a line-by-line quotation showing the offered part, availability, sourcing route and available documentation. Stock, lead time and commercial terms must be confirmed for the enquiry; this guide does not make a blanket stock or dispatch commitment.

Development hardware and module suppliers

ElectroDragon. Its about page describes an online electronics store covering products such as development hardware, wireless modules and sensors, with supporting tutorials. This is a different buying task from qualifying individual semiconductors for a production BOM. Confirm the exact board revision, documentation and intended operating conditions before using a module in a product.

Seeed Studio. Seeed’s official overview describes open-source hardware for areas including edge AI, robotics and sensing. Evaluate it against your module or device requirements rather than treating the whole catalogue as interchangeable component distribution. Check interfaces, hardware revision and software dependencies before committing a design to a particular board.

DFRobot. Its company page describes robotics and open-source hardware, including sensors, platforms and communication modules. These offerings may be relevant to prototypes, education or integrated hardware development. For a production application, request the revision and continuity information your project needs; a working demonstration does not by itself establish suitability across your operating range.

BOM and assembly services

ALLCHIPS. Its about page describes whole-BOM supply, BOM kitting and turnkey PCBA services. Establish whether the quote is for loose components, a kit or assembled boards. Record who approves substitutes, how material shortages are handled and which deliverables are included before comparing the quote with a component-only offer.

PCBWay. Its component-sourcing page states that procurement is for customer PCBA orders and that standalone component sales are not provided. It describes supplier-procured, customer-supplied and mixed material arrangements. Consider it for an assembly requirement; do not assume an assembly sourcing service is a component-only distributor. Agree the material responsibilities and substitute approvals for the selected arrangement.

Questions to resolve before approving a supplier

Who is supplying the part? Identify the legal seller, manufacturer and source route. Where authorized distribution is required, verify the relevant relationship for the manufacturer and region. Request the documentation that can actually accompany your shipment. Do not assume every line in a multi-line quote uses the same source.

Is the offered part exactly the requested part? Check suffixes, package, temperature grade and any project-specific qualification. Separate exact matches from alternatives in the quotation. A proposed alternative requires engineering validation in the intended circuit and your approval before production use.

What does the delivery date mean? Ask whether the date refers to procurement completion, dispatch or arrival at your destination. Record partial-shipment rules, quotation validity and any unconfirmed lines. Treat indicative catalogue availability separately from the supplier’s written commitment for your order.

What happens if incoming material fails acceptance? Agree the inspection scope, required records, acceptance criteria and return process before purchase. Avoid treating a generic certification badge or warranty sentence as evidence that a particular lot meets your requirements. Keep the agreed quotation and supporting documents with your purchasing record.

Prepare one comparable RFQ

Send each candidate the same BOM revision: manufacturer, complete part number, quantity per build, initial order quantity, required date and destination. Add packaging preferences, permitted alternatives and traceability or qualification requirements. For PCBA, include PCB fabrication data, placement information and a clear test requirement. Ask each supplier to identify missing information and quote exceptions explicitly.

Compare total delivered cost, technical fit, documentation and confirmed timing together. A lower unit price can represent a different package, source route or service scope. Resolve those differences before making a purchasing decision. To request an Informic review, upload your BOM and requirements; for an assembled-board project, include the additional files described on our PCBA service page.
